This piece is the first in a series of pieces entitled 'pieces' which is based upon the same one section of iron configured in various different ways to create many shapes and contortions with one single starting point still apparent throughout.

This piece, 'eight pieces' is the most basic and primary shape, a sphere. It stands at roughly waist height and is situated within an internal courtyard of Sussex University's vast Library.
