A forged steel curtain pole with a subtle upset end

Upset

A restrained form defined by proportion and a subtle forged terminal.

Structure

Description

Hand-forged in solid steel, this curtain pole is finished with Upset finials, formed by compressing the metal at the end of the bar. The result is a subtle and weighty point of termination, creating definition without the addition of ornament.

There is a quiet confidence to the piece. The form is simple, but the process remains visible. The slight swelling at each end is a direct result of force and heat rather than decoration, allowing the material and finish to take precedence.

Suited to interiors where restraint and proportion are prioritised, the Upset offers a refined architectural presence. It is a considered piece where nothing is added unnecessarily, and nothing feels missing.

Sizing & Installation

Curtain poles over 2 metres are supplied with an additional central support bracket to provide extra strength and prevent deflection over time. This ensures the pole maintains a clean, straight line once installed.
