This simple, hand-forged fire poker is made in my Sussex forge, with a classic “eye” handle and a sharp diamond point. Built from solid steel, it delivers real strength and balance for use in open fireplaces, wood-burning stoves, or log burners. Each poker is hot-forged by hand, giving it a tactile texture and a subtly unique finish, before being coated in beeswax for protection and patina. At around 500 mm long, it’s long enough to manage the fire safely without feeling cumbersome.
